Royal Darwin Hospital – Chemotherapy Alterations & Additions
The expansion to the existing Chemotherapy department in the Alan Walker Cancer Centre aims at providing a aesthetically healing environment for patients with calming splashes of colour throughout along with soothing scenic images of NT landscapes. The new treatment bays have been designed with an outlook to a dedicated landscaped area which once fully matured will offer more comfort to the patients whilst they have their treatment.
The new expansion accommodates the following:
• 18 new Chair Bays
• 2 new Bedrooms
• Treatment Room
• 4 new Consulting Rooms
• Toilet facilities
• Utility room
The new facility was designed and constructed on time and on budget and was fully documented in Revit by the Design Team which was led by DKJ.
