This new commercial development – Jacana House responds to the demand for quality office space in Darwin’s CBD. The $12 million commercial, offi ce and retail development is on the corner of Knuckey and Wood Streets.
Comprises around 4000m2 of office accommodation over six levels together with a ground floor retail precinct, the building leads the way in environmentally sustainable initiatives with a 4½ star ABGR energy rating.
Measures such as double-glazing and tinted windows and recycling of water for use on rooftop gardens has been included. The use of pretensioned fl oor slabs and precast wall panels ensured less use of concrete and steel.
The design creates a pleasant indoor atmosphere and offers tenants internal access to ground fl oor retail areas through a wide internal walkway linked to the new Pandanas Apartments. The building has been fully tenanted to Conoco Phillips.
